In a heartfelt effort to uplift young girls and support their right to education and dignity, HelloPaisa continues its Sanitary Pad Drive across Zimbabwe, directly benefiting more than 1,532 schoolgirls to date, with the initiative now extended until the end of November 2025.

On August 1st, the campaign reached 500 girls at Mt Hampden Primary School, followed by 663 girls at Makomo Primary School on August 5th. On September 19th, HelloPaisa visited Mkoba Primary School in Gweru, where 300 girls received sanitary pads. Most recently, on October 17th, HelloPaisa visited Zishumbe Primary School, reaching an additional 72 girls.

At each school, every girl (of menstrual age) received two packs of sanitary pads, empowering them to manage their menstrual health with dignity and without interruption to their education.

“At HelloPaisa, we’re not just about moving money, we’re about uplifting our communities and this drive is something very close to our hearts.” said Imtiaz Mahamood, HelloPaisa's managing director. HelloPaisa believes no girl should miss class or feel ashamed because of something as natural as her period. By providing direct access to sanitary products, the drive addresses one of the most overlooked challenges facing girls today — period poverty. In addition to distribution, the initiative includes educational engagements on menstrual health and hygiene, developed in partnership with local educators and school leadership.

The Sanitary Pad Drive will continue until the end of November 2025, with the goal of reaching over 3,000 schoolgirls across multiple communities in Zimbabwe.

HelloPaisa extends its deepest gratitude to the Ministry of Education, Mt Hampden Primary, Makomo Primary, Mkoba Primary, and Zishumbe Primary for their support and collaboration in making this important initiative possible.
